Your Data, Explained Clearly
Calendar Lens helps you turn screenshots or photos of events into calendar entries. This page explains what data is processed, where it goes, and how you control it.
1. Information We Process
- Images and screenshots you share to Calendar Lens.
- OCR text extracted from those images.
- Event details generated from that content (title, date, time, location, notes).
- App settings you provide (for example, worker token).
- Subscription status and free-tier usage counters (for monthly save limits).
2. How We Use Information
- To extract event information from screenshots and images.
- To let you review and save events into Apple Calendar.
- To enforce free-tier limits and determine Pro access.
- To log minimal revenue events: upgrade opened, purchase succeeded, restore succeeded.
3. Cloud Processing (Cloudflare + OpenAI)
Calendar Lens sends extraction requests to our Cloudflare Worker at api.calendarlens.com. That worker forwards relevant extraction content to OpenAI to generate structured event data.
- Requests may include image data, OCR text, and timing context.
- OpenAI API keys are stored server-side in Cloudflare Worker secrets.
- You can choose local fallback parsing when cloud extraction is unavailable.
4. Storage and Retention
- Event drafts are stored locally on your device in an app-group container.
- Shared payloads can be cleared from inside the app.
- Subscription and usage counters are stored locally to enforce plan limits.
- Cloudflare and OpenAI may process request logs according to their own policies.
5. Payments
Subscriptions are handled by Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit). We do not receive your full payment card details.
6. Your Choices
- Do not share screenshots if you do not want them processed.
- Disable cloud extraction in app settings if needed.
- Clear imported data in the app at any time.
- Manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
7. Children
Calendar Lens is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
